The .brfr file format specification defines the structure and semantics of brief files.

Version 0.10 (January 2026)
This is the current working version. During 0.x development, breaking changes may occur between minor versions.

The format underwent significant iteration during early development.
Stability
The 0.x version series is considered unstable. Breaking changes will be documented in the changelog.
Version 1.0 will be the first stable release. After 1.0, the format will follow semantic versioning with backwards compatibility guarantees.
